At Method Enterprise, we stand behind the quality and reliability of every METHOD product we distribute. As the exclusive African distributor for METHOD Enterprise (Malaysia), we ensure that every piece of laboratory equipment is backed by a comprehensive manufacturer warranty, giving you confidence and peace of mind with your investment in laboratory safety.
All METHOD products come with a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty from the date of delivery.
Every METHOD product purchased through Method Enterprise is covered by a standard 12-month manufacturer warranty. This warranty period begins on the date of delivery to your premises, as documented on your delivery receipt. The warranty guarantees that your equipment will be free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal operating conditions for the full duration of the coverage period.
For select high-value equipment categories, Method Enterprise offers extended warranty plans beyond the standard 12-month coverage. Extended warranties are available on fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, and other critical laboratory infrastructure. These plans provide additional years of protection against manufacturing defects and component failures, ensuring your most important safety equipment is always covered. Contact our sales team for extended warranty pricing and terms.
Your warranty period officially commences on the date your equipment is delivered and signed for at your facility. This ensures you receive the full benefit of your warranty coverage from the moment you take possession. We recommend retaining your delivery receipt and order confirmation as proof of purchase date, as these documents will be required for any warranty claims during the coverage period.
If your equipment exhibits any defects that originated during the manufacturing process, including flaws in raw materials, improper assembly, faulty welds, substandard finishes, or other workmanship errors, these are fully covered. This includes defects in stainless steel construction, epoxy resin work surfaces, polypropylene components, and any other materials used in METHOD products.
All electrical components that fail under normal, intended use are covered under warranty. This includes motors, control boards, switches, wiring harnesses, sensors, LED indicators, digital displays, thermostats, and electronic controllers. If an electrical component malfunctions during the warranty period when the equipment has been operated according to the manufacturer's specifications and within the rated voltage range, the repair or replacement is covered at no additional cost.
Warranty coverage extends to the structural integrity of all METHOD equipment. This includes the main body frame, support structures, cabinet enclosures, doors, hinges, drawer mechanisms, shelving systems, and mounting hardware. If any structural component cracks, bends, warps, or otherwise fails under normal operating conditions and loads within the rated capacity, Method Enterprise will repair or replace the affected parts.
Safety is paramount in laboratory environments, and all safety mechanisms on METHOD equipment are covered under warranty. This includes pressure relief valves, flow regulators, thermostatic mixing valves, emergency shut-off systems, airflow monitors, sash position sensors, alarm systems, and interlock mechanisms. If any safety-critical component fails to perform as designed, we prioritise these claims for the fastest possible resolution to maintain your laboratory's safety compliance.
For biosafety cabinets, the HEPA filters are warranted to perform within their rated specifications for the duration of their rated lifespan, provided the cabinet is operated according to METHOD's guidelines. If a HEPA filter fails to meet its rated filtration efficiency (typically 99.99% at 0.3 microns) within its expected service life, and the failure is attributable to a manufacturing defect rather than contamination or misuse, the filter will be replaced under warranty.
All factory-installed accessories and components that ship with your METHOD equipment are included in the warranty coverage. This encompasses nozzles, spray heads, mixing valves, pull rods, foot pedals, drain assemblies, and other integrated accessories. If any factory-installed component fails under normal use within the warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced at no charge.
To maintain the integrity of our warranty programme and ensure fair coverage for all customers, the following situations and conditions are excluded from warranty coverage. Please review these exclusions carefully to understand the scope and limitations of your warranty protection.
Any damage resulting from operating the equipment outside its intended purpose, exceeding rated capacities, using improper chemicals or materials in the equipment, failure to follow operating instructions, or any form of physical abuse or deliberate mishandling.
Any damage caused by modifications, alterations, or repairs performed by individuals or companies not authorised by Method Enterprise or METHOD Enterprise. Tampering with safety mechanisms, altering electrical systems, modifying plumbing connections, or making structural changes to the equipment without prior written approval from Method Enterprise will void the warranty for the affected components.
Components that naturally degrade through regular use over time are not covered under warranty. This includes gaskets, seals, O-rings, consumable filters (beyond their rated lifespan), rubber fittings, flexible tubing, light bulbs, fuses, and other consumable parts.
Equipment that has been installed by parties other than Method Enterprise's certified installation team is not covered for damage arising from the installation itself. We strongly recommend using Method Enterprise's professional installation services to ensure full warranty protection.
Damage caused by exposure to chemicals, solvents, reagents, or other substances that are not compatible with the equipment's materials of construction. Each METHOD product specifies its chemical resistance ratings in the product documentation.
Damage to electrical components caused by power surges, voltage spikes, lightning strikes, or unstable power supply is not covered under warranty unless the equipment was connected through a Method Enterprise-recommended surge protector at the time of the incident.
Superficial damage that does not affect the functionality, safety, or performance of the equipment is excluded from warranty coverage. This includes minor scratches, scuffs, dents, discolouration, or paint chips that occur during normal use or from incidental contact.
